Library adds access to Nursing Legacy Archive

December 18, 2007

Many current nursing journals are available online but adding access to the Nursing Legacy Archive makes older nursing journals also available online. Remote access is important for distance students and this resource will make available over 800,000 articles.  This journal archive provides immediate access to the backfiles of more than 200 journals that have, over the years chronicled important breakthroughs in research and techniques in major clinical and medical specialties, including nursing, infectious disease, surgery, and cardiology.

  • Coverage of 200 journals spans Volume 1, Issue 1 through the final issue of 1999
  • Complements the LWW Total Access Collection to give you both historical and current LWW journal resources
  • Easily searchable and browsable through Ovid Journals or Lippincott Journals
  • Pages presented in PDF format, with searchable headers and abstracts

More study rooms for Finals Week

December 14, 2007

We’ve opened up several additional study rooms just for finals week. These rooms will accomodate 1-2 people. Of course we still have larger rooms available, too. For a complete list, please ask at the Circulation Desk.

YOU LOST IT? WE MAY HAVE IT…

December 14, 2007

The Lost and Found boxes behind the Circulation Desk are full of wonderful things: hats, jackets, gloves, flash drives, CDs, keys, books, notebooks, sunglasses, mugs, and more. If you’ve lost anything in the library this fall, please ask a staff member at the Circulation Desk to look through the Lost-and-Found.
